I don’t think of Grandenetti as one to get the weapns right, but here he depicts a Resing M-50 SMG used by the USMC on Guadal Canal (https://thepacific.fandom.com/wiki/M50_Reising) mostly in lieu of (“ILO”) the M-1 VCarbine not yet issued to the USMC. (I.m not sure aboit the bayonet lug, but the fully automatic M-2Carbine issued at the end of WWII and in Korea had one,)
