It’s nearly impossible to find a photo of me as a kid without a comic book in my hand. This was because whenever my Mom would say, “let me take a photo of you”, I would quickly grab a recent comic book and hold it out beside me as she clicked the shutter. I did this because I wanted to date the photo for posterity by holding up a current comic, so I’d always know at glance when the picture was taken. This practice greatly annoyed my mother, who would ask: “Can’t I just get a picture of you for Grandma where you aren’t holding a comic book?”. She very rarely did.

Man, what I would give to get a chance to get my hands at that 50’s rack, full of Mystery In Space and Strange Adventures or be that kid sitting among those stacks… ; )
