  1. Well I’m glad modern comics can say “Damn” now. Unless I read the part about Parents wrong, Doctor Sivana has both good and criminal children. The circus of spies [ Captain America Comics#5 ( August 1941 ) 1st sory “The Ringmaster of Death” ] and the Patriotic Writer and play has different versions: A movie [ Captain America Comics#3 ( May 1941 ) 2nd story “The Hunchback of Hollywood and the Movie Murder” ], a comic book [ Sub-Mariner Comics#3 ( Fall 1941 ) Angel story “Death Draws a Comic Strip! — Howard ( villain ) ] and a play [ Marvel Mystery Comics#23 ( September 1941 ) Patriot story “Swastila Over Europe” ( unofficial title ) – Howard ( villain, stage director, self-confessed Bundsman ]— plus I there is a Mike Trapp ( Lets Play Detective Timely Comics story with a Patriotic Writer being killed by a circus stilt-walker ). First time Tom did this, I thought about mentioning the News as a source or inspiration for stories. Jap instead of Japanese was jarring — no matter how many times I have seen it in Golden Age Comics I still shocking.

    1. This story about Adolf Hitler using doubles [ All-Winners Comics#11( Winter 1943-44 ) Destroyer story “The Real Hitler” ] could be based on the 1939 book The Strange Death of Adolf Hitler which alleges that the Nazi Party used 4 people as doubles for Hitler, including the author, who claims that the real dictator died in 1938 and that he subsequently took his place [ Wikipedia – Alleged doubles of Adolf Hitler ].
